Massage / Spa Questions

Do all locations have massage?

No. We have massage, facials and other treatments available only at our Greenhouse Spa location at 218 N. 7th Street.

How far in advance do I need to book a massage?

We are happy to book you on today's schedule if possible, but we recommend calling 2-3 days in advance.

Why do you need my credit card information to hold my massage appointment?

No charge will be applied to your credit card without your consent; we do have a 24 hour cancellation policy, so if needed, please cancel your appointment before the 24 hour time frame to avoid the charge for the missed appointment.

What is Shiatsu?

This Japanese modality is performed on a mat, with the client wearing, loose, comfortable clothing. With a combination of thumb pressure, palm pressure and passive stretches along traditional meridian lines. This treatment is customized to each person, increasing flexibility and decreasing muscle tension.

What is Raindrop Massage?

This treatment uses therapeutic grade essential oils, placed along the spinal column to oxygenate, nourish and detoxify the body. It is used in conjunction with traditional massage techniques.

What is the difference between Deep Tissue and Sports Massage?

Deep tissue massage is excellent for those with chronically tight muscles that may feel cold and/or hard to the touch. Sports Massage uses multiple techniques including Deep Tissue, to help you prepare for or recover from an athletic event or practice.

Your facial ad says that you provide "holistic beauty therapy"; what is that?

Our facial skin care brand, Eminence, is 100% organic, made from herbal, fruit and vegetable extracts; this varied and aromatic product line is customized to your needs during each facial. Our esthetician, Mehea, designs your facial based on the needs of your skin and incorporates intuitive touch therapy for gentle detoxification. In this way, the facial not only improves the skin but also uplifts the mind.

Sauna Questions

What are the sauna hours?

The sauna is available Monday through Friday, 10 am to 8 pm. On the weekends it is open from 10 am to 6 pm. You can rent towels for $1 each and please wear swimming suits for co-ed sittings.

I am a member, but my friend is not. Can he/she still use the sauna with me?

Yes. The cost is $10 per (non-member) guest. And $5.00 per usage fee for member.

I just took a yoga class; can I use the sauna for free?

No, there is a $5.00 / per use fee for the sauna unless you have the upgraded Sauna membership for 10.00/month

Yoga / Class Cards Questions

Do you rent yoga mats?

No, we charge $1.00 to rent a mat at our 88 Roebling location. The other two locations provide complimentary mats; we ask that you wipe them down and hang them after the class.

How can I find out which instructor is teaching the class I like?

All of our classes and instructors are listed online at www.greenhouseholistic.com. You may also call our specific locations to double check any instructor substitutions.

How long should I refrain from eating before a class?

Avoid eating 2 hours before class

What if I have an injury?

Inform teacher before class of any injuries.

Do you offer prenatal classes?

Yes, On Saturdays at 2:30pm at our Driggs location, and on Fridays at 10am at our Driggs location.

Do your instructors give assists?

Yes, Greenhouse teachers do give physical assists, let them know if you'd like to not be assisted

Do I need to wear special shoes?

Please remove your shoes to walk through the studio, this is a sacred space and people go barefoot.

General Questions

Can I signup for classes online?

You can now signup online for our 6:30pm and 8:15pm classes Monday - Friday at either location. Please note that you should still show up at least 5 minutes before class to prevent your spot being given to someone else. You can cancel your reservation online up to 2 hours before class, otherwise, you will be charged for the class.

Do you sell your retail products online?

We do not yet sell our retail products online. Please stop by Greenhouse Essentials located near the corner of Driggs and North 7th. We provide a variety of organic skin care products, yoga items, essential oils, spiritual literature, music, feng shui textiles and more...

Membership / Class Cards

How do I suspend my membership? For how long?

We require 2 weeks notice to your billing date for all suspensions. Send an email to membership@greenhouseholistic.com or come to one of our locations to fill out a Suspension Form. Memberships can be frozen one time per year, from 1 - 3 months.

How do I cancel my membership?

Depending on your minimum commitment (1 year or 3 months) you may cancel at anytime with 30 days notice. Please send an email to membership@greenhouseholistic.com

What is required to become a member?

Please come to either Greenhouse location to fill out a membership agreement. We require basic contact and payment authorization information. We also provide literature reviewing the advantages and benefits of membership.

Can I book an appointment online?

Soon we will provide online appointments. For now, please call 718.599.3113 so we can book a treatment for you.

Can I transfer a membership to someone else?

Please send an email to membership@greenhouseholistic.com for review

What are the expiration dates on the class cards?

The expirations vary depending on how many classes you purchase at one time.
Below are the details:

     6 classes expire in 2 months
     12 classes expire in 4 months
     24 classes expire in 6 months

Can my friend/spouse and I share a class card? No

Gift Certificate

How do I purchase a gift certificate? Can I do it online?

You can purchase a Gift Certificate online or come into our Roebling location to purchase a Gift Card. There is no expiration date, but we treat them like cash, so be careful not to lose them!
