Yoga Teacher Training Internship

There is one intern positions available for the 200hr Yoga Teacher Training program. You must have a strong commitment with availability a half hour before and after weekend training sessions for studio duties. The internship requires 80 hours of service from a candidate who must be computer savvy with a thorough knowledge of Brooklyn neighborhoods, access to a bike a plus. Both individuals must have great communication skills, flexibility in schedule, commitment and excitement about the program. Both office hours and self-regulated hours will be required. Intern will be responsible for the following:

Marketing Work

  • Update a comprehensive locations list
  • Distribute/Restock fliers weekly before and after the training

Admin Work

  • Work directly with the YTT manager to notify accepted applicants
  • Assist in Orientation
  • Maintain student database
  • Act as weekly liaison between administration, mentors & students

Manual

  • Work directly with YTT manager & mentors to have manual updated & ready for session
  • Drop off, pick up relevant materials & final distribution
  • Organize for final print

Open Studio before Teacher Training Sessions* (15hrs)

  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to training (Fridays at 5:30pm, Sat/Sun 8:30am)
  • Set up studio (sweep, stock, heat/cool, incense, music, props)
  • Take attendance

Close Studio after Teacher Training Sessions* (15hrs)

  • Make sure everyone leaves with their belongings Sunday nights
  • Sweep, clean studio and bathroom
  • Restock, take out trash and recycling, sweep, etc.
  • Turn off lights, heat/ac, stereo & computer
  • Lock both doors and gate

Teacher/Student/Admin Liaison

  • Be available for fellow students questions and concerns
  • Process student payments in Mind Body
  • Maintain Homework.google.doc & contact sheet & calender
  • Check in weekly with teachers for any special needs or concerns

Retreat/Graduation

  • Process payments for the retreat
  • Help mentors & admin organize travel arrangements
  • Work with fellow students to design a graduation ceremony
